5 "Why did I wait so long to read this" Stars

Ok, considering I love everything Travis Maddox, I have no idea what took me so long to read this book. Maybe because I thought it would just be more of the same, but no. McGuire, being the rock star writer that she is gives us more. Everything we could have ever wanted in knowing what happened before my favorite couple tied the know in Vegas. Honestly, when I first read Beautiful Disaster I couldn’t fathom why Abby would want to get married in Vegas, she hated that place. But this book explains it so well. The repercussions of the fire and the angst Travis experienced were things I had not even considered and yet made me love him even more. So if you are like me, don’t wait any longer. Pick up this book and read it now, you will be so happy. The only problem is it will remind you of all the reasons you loved the first book so much you just want to reread it, and with my long TBR list, that is could be a problem

First wedding was best ever

I read the negative reviews of this book and went ahead and downloaded it. I am so glad I did. Abby never made decisions based on love, so it was no real surprise that she was trying to protect Travis as he had tried to protect her for months. She loved Travis, but showing love was completely foreign to her because other than America and her family, Abby hadn’t had much love until Travis. She said it was all about providing him an alibi, but it was really about keeping the man she loved. She would never admit that though. Travis knew she was up to something and knew she was rescuing him. He just didn’t know for certain she knew she was rescuing him. Abby is complicated; Travis is not. He doesn’t ask for more than someone can give, and he loved Abby enough to just go with it. I think getting the tattoo really was her way of saying she was all in so he knew she was certain. I thought the wedding was beautiful. Elvis and all. The second one wasn’t necessary for me, but at least they got the honeymoon they didn’t get with the first one. I can’t wait for Trent’s story to come out in July. As wild as Travis was, his brother may be a lot freer. Nothing seems to be too much for him.

I was so excited to be able to find out what happens during the wedding. It was a part in both Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster that was kind of skipped over. You know it happened and because of Walking Disaster you get to find out how they are years down the road, but neither book gave you details about the wedding itself. I was frustrated about it because of course, I wanted to know!

Trenton in a man thong, covered in about ten pounds of body glitter…enough said!

Well, well, well!!!!!!! I was completely floored when this little baby showed up on my door step all ready for me to read. Who doesn’t love Travis and Abby? Heck, I am friends with them on Facebook. they are one of my all time favorite couples and I thank my sister in-law for telling me about the first book over a year ago.

A Sweeter Side of Abby and Travis

This novella was so sweet!! I have to say this was one of my favorites. It took away the edge of the other books and really focused on their relationship and how much they loved each other. Even though the reason Abby proposed kind of made me mad I realize also that she knows she will not end up with anyone else because no one will be her Travis. And she also doesn’t want to wait any longer to be with him.

Adds Humor and Substance to the Previous Novels.

Finally some reality!

I read Beautiful Wedding and then read a few reviews. I have to say I’m pretty surprised at how disappointed some people are! After Beautiful Disaster I was like…wait a minute… all those people just died in a horrific fire and they get to just walk off into the sunset? No problems? I had a problem with that. Of COURSE Abby was a little wishy washy about actually going through with getting married! Shes the exact same person she has always been since the beginning. Shes scared. Shes worried. And shes so in love that she knows getting married is inevitable. And although the timing is scary it is right and just might save her guy from prison. It was obvious to me that Travis knew she was struggling even in the moments after she proposed. But that he trusted her to know if it was the right decision for her or not. He would have let her change her mind at any moment and waited til she was really ready. I don’t feel like she lied to him. She proposed because she was in love with him. She didnt want to live without him. And ultimately she was ready! There’s no deceit in that. And I was so glad that some genuine feeling and effort was put toward dealing with the fire. It was a small dose of reality that I thought BD lacked. Not disappointed at all! I thought this novella was true to character and a great addition to their story.
