this is the best clutter-removal helper that I have found

In my view, this is the best clutter-removal helper that I have found. I have given this book as gifts to at least six friends. In one case, it completely turned my friend’s life around. That said, if one wants to clear clutter, the best questions to ask oneself are:: “Am I going use this in the next ten years of my life? Does this make me happy? Can someone else derive pleasure from this more than I can? I look at my kitchen, my home office, my library, my garage, etc. I am currently casting so many things away. As I do so, I feel much freer. I finally discarded the rest of my PhD materials today! I gave them to Salvation Army. Tomorrow will be the third day of disengaging from many of the things that were crucial to me before but are no longer. I am happy to think that some how these things will find happy homes! I have been intermittently involved in this de-cluttering for the past ten years. Today I have found myself to be ruthless I love the feeling! Have I had any regrets? Only a few. But then I will never again be the size of the dresses I gave away!

I read it cover to cover and loved it! I could not expect to have found …

I essentially got this book for my husband to secretly make him pick it up, read it and magically get rid of all his stuff. I did not, however, in any way expect this book to speak to me!!! Well, it did! I read it cover to cover and loved it! I could not expect to have found such joyous wisdom in a small paperback. I was able to “let go” of STUFF that was keeping me down. I need to read it again and do another purge. I love you, Karen Kingston for helping me get rid of MY crap. I never thought that I needed the help, but I guess I was wrong. I can only pray my husband picks this book up and reads it!! Then and only then will we have a very clean home. If you are on the fence about this book, jump off and buy it!!!!

Worth it to me!

I found this by accident while looking for another book. It looked like it could help me with something I’ve been wanting to work on (clearing clutter, obviously) and so I ordered it. I’ve just finished reading it, but before I was even done I made immediate changes! I’ve cleared so much junk out of my bedroom / closet (and I’m not even done yet!) and I can’t wait to move on to other rooms! I suffer from depression and it’s really hard for me to get motivated to clean so I’ve accumulated so much junk it’s not even funny. I’ve also cleared my social media (mostly Facebook) of unnecessary people who drag down my energy. I went from 1400 friends to about 1000 before reading this book, and while reading I stopped mid chapter and went from 1000 to 380! And it felt great! I haven’t done enough work to really feel if there’s a big difference in my life, but I think there will be! Even if there isn’t, I think it was definitely worth the cost of the book just to get the unnecessary crap out of my life!

Lost 50 pounds from Reading This Book

This book changed my life. After reading this, I decluttered most of my sh*t and ended up losing 50 pounds in the process. I was able to apply the declutter philosophy, (which in turn created better energy flow), in other parts of my life. I mention my weight because it was actually practical and physically showed the transformation in my life with the weight I lost. You just gotta believe in it, apply it in your life and it’ll show. 50 lbs lost! That was 25% of my body weight in over a year.

I bought this book years ago and just recently found it under a huge pile of crap in my attic. As I recall, it was quite helpful at the time, as I was desperate to get out from under a huge pile of crap in my house. I know that just looking at the cover made me feel calm and rested, and the ideas within made me believe I could do it–get my stuff under control, somewhat. It did make me feel more free, and I think I unloaded stuff. Mostly, it gave me hope, because it wasn’t just a “here’s another system” kind of book. (I can’t do systems! Obviously!) Sadly, the attic in question is in Tennessee, and I forgot to bring the book with me to California. You see what I’m dealing with here. Still, I’ve read a kajillion of these, and this was my favorite and most helpful so far. Once again, I’m really relaxed just looking at the cover. Think I’ll buy it again. : )

Here are many “how-to-get-organized” books on the market, and I think I’ve read all of them. (I’ve even written one.) But Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui is really the only one that works (for me). Perhaps that is because there is a rationale for everything, an explanation I never would have considered.

Great book! Very informative and helpful. My boyfriend and I just moved in together and we wanted to have a fresh start and try to keep good habits in our new home. This book was very helpful. I’ve already gotten rid of a bunch of stuff during our moving process. She also goes into other types of cleansing: spiritual as well as physical (body). I’m into it. I have recommended this book to all of my close girl friends as we all share a weird nesting/hoarding inclination that we try to work against.

Feng Shui or not, this book is life changing

This book is a must read for anyone interested in Feng Shui, even though it is more about clearing clutter than applying Feng Shui enhancements as you would normally find in other Feng Shui books. What makes this book so very important is that it goes deep into getting rid of clutter, from the seen to the unseen. The problem with clutter is so pervasive that everyone can benefit from checking their home for it, even those who are neat freaks. You actually need to develop the skill to become clutter free, and it does not happen overnight. Letting go of clutter happens in stages, and over time. One day you think, that’s enough, the next day you develop a whole different perspective and see what you overlooked before. The more clutter free you are, the more your life improves, the more you can think clearly, and feel better emotionally as well as physically. Karen addresses clutter so thoroughly that it is life changing.

This book starts out with what it is like to live in Bali and honor the earth. It was absolutely fascinating. They build to fit in harmoniously with the natural surroundings. The owner is measured and the house is build to scale to fit him! Flower offerings, etc. Just fascinating. In the first few chapters I have come to understand the Why of creating harmony with one’s surroundings. Now I am eager to learn the How through the rest of this book.

I love it

I am not a hoarder clutter person, but there is one thing that allows me to have all the order that I want, all at home is in place, and clean, but when I look at my workplace (my desk) there are always too many things out of place and I can never keep it in order. and this book is helping me to understand that the clutter also is emotional, many started and unfinished projects.
