Dr. McDougall’s Maple Brown Sugar Organic Light Oatmeal has 50% less sugar than other leading brands. It is America’s favorite oatmeal flavor – maple brown sugar and just the right sweetness combining organic cane juice, organic pure maple sugar, and LoHan fruit powder. LoHan fruit has been enjoyed in Asia for centuries for its natural sweet flavor. It has little or no effect on blood sugar but adds wonderful natural sweet taste. Dr. McDougall’s Organic Light Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal has no refined sugar or artificial sweeteners. It’s fortified with organic compliant, natural vitamins. Kids love the taste too.

Delicious! Don’t read the bad reviews, must be back to old way of making this.

I just got this and absolutely love it. I saw some of the reviews were negative, so they must have gone back to the original they had before that everyone loved maybe? I got the Organic Maple Oatmeal flavor and is was absolutely delicious! The oats without the packet is actually just regular oats without flavor, and the packet is what adds the sugar, and flavor. I really like that you can choose how much flavor or sugar you can add to it. I actually use the whole packet because I have a sweet tooth, but I like that you have a choice, haha. It actually is quite sweet, so sugar lovers like myself will definitely be satisfied by it, but the people watching their sugar consumption/ don’t like it as sweet can just put a little bit in. Best of both worlds! I have Crohn’s disease and have recently gone vegan, so I like that I can still enjoy some sweet things. Eating this way has helped me SO MUCH. Definitely recommend this, and I will be buying more, and trying his other options as well. Very happy with my purchase!! Definitely worth a try. I’m not sure what happened with the bad reviews, but they must have changed it back to awesome food again!!

I can eat these darn near everyday and it doesn’t get old. I throw in a few spoons of flax seeds and sometimes fruit but honestly, it’s just plain goodness as it is. You’ll never go back to regular instant oatmeal again so if price is an issue, don’t get it, once you do, you’re hooked. Also, I don’t know if it’s the protein or the additives I put in there, but these things make me full. Generally skip lunch if I had one for breakfast. The cheaper oatmeals burn off too quick for me.
Healthy,Great Tasting,Quick and east for on the go.

These are awesome especially for the busy life on the go, I deal a lot of health issues from birth, Spina bifida , 45 surgeries, lots of digestive problems so I stick to a very healthy diet, my husband and I retired go to mini escapes quite often staying at motels that offer hot breakfast, most times there Is not foods for my health issues, or very many healthy alternatives. So we take these along, grab an apple dice it and add it. or take chopped walnuts or pecans and our almond milk, these are delicious tasting and easily fixed.
Yummy and satisfying for larger appetites

I guess I’m in the minority in saying that I love the large size of this product 🙂 I normally would make 2 “servings” as described on box of oatmeal – or two packets from a box — so this product is perfect sizing for me! 320 calories doesn’t seem like an overly large calorie amount either. Even if you were a smaller person and only consuming 1200 calories a day, this would only be 1/4 of your daily calorie needs, and a very healthy 1/4 of your calories it would be. This is lightweight and easy to throw in a bag and bring to work – just add boiling water, or add tap water and microwave and let steep. I like the occasional sweetness of the cranberries and the occasional crunch of the almonds. It’s pleasant without being too sweet. It’s also got 8 grams of fiber in a cup. If you’re trying to decide between flavors, I found this tastier than the hot apple cinnamon variety cereal from McDougall.

I did however find them locally at my Publix a little cheaper individually.
My New Favorite Instant Oatmeal!

Great oatmeal taste with hint of tanginess from the cranberries. Clean, classic and convenient. Perfect for on-the-go and for travel. For instant oatmeal – it’s superior. I don’t even follow the main directions to add water then microwave it; I just add hot boiled water, wait anywhere from 5-10 minutes and it’s perfect. It’s a tad sweeter than I prefer (I tend to have a lower tolerance for sweetness than the average person), so I just add more water past the line and it still has a decently thick/gooey consistency; I just have to wait closer to 10 mins. But at least this isn’t as sweet as the Quaker Instant Oatmeal or other/generic brands. Of the reviews that say the taste is bad; what?! I have to assume they must not like hot cereal or oatmeal to begin with…? Because I have to say I’m impressed with McDougall’s so far. It even resembles steel-cut oatmeal. Will definitely subscribe from now on.
No longer good

EDIT: Since a third-party company bought Right Foods, the quality has gone downhill. My last six-pack of this product smelled and tasted so bad that I threw it out. I’ve been a McDougall customer since 2004, and I’ve tried almost all of the food cups. They are excellent for those who want a vegan, mostly-organic alternative, and of course one pays extra for the convenience and vegan/organic ingredients. The Maple oatmeal is very good. My one recommendation is to fill the cup slightly higher than the fill line; otherwise the oatmeal may come out too thick.
