Very Good Taste, Great For You, Excellent Price On Amazon

I love soup cups because they are quick, easy and don’t create a lot of mess to clean up. Most soup cups, especially in grocery stores are way too high in sodium to be even remotely healthy. These Dr McDougall’s soups address all of these issues. They are Vegan, and even if you are not, you will find them tasty and good for you. Plus, if you have allergies, the odds are with vegan foods, that what you are allergic to isn’t in here.

I wish it had a better flavor and far less fake smoke taste.

I have to say I just got used to eating this soup because I wanted a fast, easy, gluten free option that didn’t contain a lot of chemicals…didn’t want to open a can of soup or heat it in a microwave…..This soup has a very smokey taste and a bit too much seasoning, not much of which I like in pea soup. I would have preferred dill or something less spicy/smokey…….The texture is sometimes off-putting, sometimes a little grainy…It doesn’t turn totally creamy, although most of the time I pour the powder into one of my mugs and add boiling water…Just don’t like eating out of a paper container…

Love this pea soup!

I love pea soup but making it from scratch is pain and i a lot of the time no one else but me wants it! It’s also not a dish you find eating out much.. So I went looking for a good one serving way to enjoy it. I tried canned soups first. I didn’t like them and if it had meat in it it was always just awful! So when I found this I thought why not? How bad can it be?

Wow! Eats Like a Meal!

This is the first Dr. McDougall’s product I have tried, and I have to say that I’m quite impressed. In college I lived on little cups of Ramen noodles, but since they are so bad for you, I wouldn’t consider eating them now. These are approximately the same size cups as the cups of Ramen I used to eat, but this soup thickens up into a wonderful pea stew after waiting the prescribed time period (as opposed to the watery concoction in with the Ramen noodles). I got extremely full eating one of these for lunch, and it held me for the rest of the day. I really enjoyed the flavor as well. I will be trying other varieties of Dr. McDougall’s soups and encourage anyone who is looking for a healthful and convenient meal to do so as well.

Convenient but average

I bought a whole case (10) containers of this soup. I am gluten free and it was gluten free and I felt we could get along. I have eaten 3 of the containers of soup and it is quite good. Not excellent, mind you, but adequate for a quick meal, or to take to work for a quick lunch. I will probably get tired of split pea before I finish all the containers, but this company does have other soups I might try. I sure wish I could have it with crackers, however, but being gluten free that is not possible. But, short of a homemade soup, this one is okay. I would recommend it if asked. And, I will probably buy it again next year.

Nice flavor, No Gluten, cooks FASTER than some other McDougall instant soups, thinner than other split pea one

I had previously ordered and enjoyed the Split Pea with Barley by Dr. McD. I ordered this one this time because I saw it was lighter in sodium.

It’s good soup.

It’s good soup – cooks up in the microwave fast and easy with fairly low sodium and I’ve never had an issue with the quality of the product. Good flavor, not too salty. Tastes like what it is – split pea soup. Used to get similar products and Trader Joes and Vons but they don’t have it anymore so I’ve been buying this product online for a while now. It’s not the cheapest per cup, but it’s the best I can find.

My favorite pea soup (that’s not homemade)

I love that this is lower in sodium (15% of the daily), low in calories and easy to make. AND IT TASTES awesome. It doesn’t taste like a dehydrated soup. It is thick and has a great, almost homemade taste. I get this on auto-delivery and always get the deliveries with a long shelf life. Great purchase.

Great source of fiber and protein, decent taste.

Includes 12 grams of both fiber and protein! Taste isn’t anything special but its not bad either. Really nice to have a vegetarian split pea soup since almost all the other big brands include pork or other meat.
