Feng Shui Before and After uses the ancient art of feng shui to help you improve the energetic quality and visual appeal of your home or office. The book tells you how to find your most and least fortunate directions, your element and star number, and how to use the "magic square" to discover which sectors of your house relate to specific areas of your life.
This book will show you how to transform your home or office, restoring harmony and maximizing the flow of good energy or "ch'i" in your life by doing things as simple as rearranging furniture, redecorating using the right colors, or adding a mirror, plant, or wind-chime. With beautiful "before and after" color photographs and informative text, this title contains everything you need to improve any area's feng shui.

A good basic feng shui book
This feng shui book is very good for the beginner.
Best book I have found on the subject.
Great information about each room in your house
Partly wonderful and partly lacking
This book has many good points. The advice given to find your best directions for sleeping and eating is sound advice. The diagrams showing furniture placements within a room are a great visual! But to assign one area to wealth or one area to relationships forever is not sound. The energy within your home is determined by what year it was built, and it changes once a year for the annual energy, and also once a month the energy rotates in each of the 9 squares of the magic square. Energy is not static. You cannot make environmental improvements such as paint and floors and fireplaces without knowing if you are doing so in an area that needs a much different remedy. Some months it may work well, and some months could be a disaster. It would never work well in an area where your house needed a permanent remedy of metal, and then you added fire! (I got this book from the library and read it.)
I loved this book. I’ve had it for years and keep it as a reference book. It’s easy to understand and has really good photos and diagrams. It has the formulas to figure out your best direction and worst. The way you should face when you sit and direction to sleep in. I highly recommend this book for feng shui beginner. It made a believer out of me. Must buy.
I like looking here first for books since I usually always find what I am looking for or the equivalent.
very good condition!
