Great for Beginners

 on December 15, 2016
By Cheryl G.
This is an easy, quick book to read, and I will probably try to utilize much Feng Shui in our new house. I just felt that it was too general and basic, although it is “for beginners”. Some of the advice was great….other, not so much. For instance, you can’t just willy, nilly move a stove from it’s set spot in a kitchen if it is not in the absolute correct space without tearing out 1/2 the kitchen. The book does have beginning instruction on using the 5 elements and different paint/decor colors in decorating. Since it was free to download, I recommend it. I don’t know if it’s worth purchasing.

Ridiculously thin book for the money

NO pictures

I know I got the Kindle version, but I was really hoping for some pictures to give me an idea of placement and spacing. I am a very visual learner. But there are NO PICTURES in the whole book. So if you need pictures, find another book. I am still looking.

Easy to understand

This is a really short book, and I wish it had a little more guidance, but for a beginner’s book it’s an easy read and easy to understand. I find myself referring back to the different chapters as I choose paint colors for the house. For a full feng shui makeover, you will need additional materials, but this is a great starter book.

Interesting book

The ideas are presented well and simply unlike many books on the subject. The author is able to simplify the basics and give specific information on how to apply the concepts. It is the first time I feel as if I am close to being able to use feng shui in my home.

Didn’t learn much and some of the things seem opposite of research I’ve seen elsewhere. I’m glad this one was free.
