I am not a fan of “reviewers” who judge a book, either good or bad, without even trying the recipes! And I love reviews that get very specific! So here it goes!
A little ‘out of the box’ …..but very interesting, and can’t decide what to make first!!

This is such a unique cookbook imo. I opened it up and honestly each page I turn to, my mouth waters and I have no idea which recipe to try first!! If you like foods that are a little ‘out of the box’ and are adventurous with recipes, then this might be a book you will enjoy. If you want a cookbook with basics like lasagna recipes or fried chicken, then this book would probably not be for you. I like that the recipes are ‘different’ and many combine ingredients I never would have thought of, but each one sounds mouth-watering and yet ‘good for you’..(ie, I look at these, as ‘light on the stomach,’ with the exception of a very few ones that are a little higher in carbs than I prefer, but those are very few and far-between!)…. As for those “complaining” about the trivial things like Giada’s morning routine and makeup tips, well….this book is called ‘feel good,’ so total skin care and little things like taking care of yourself DO make you FEEL GOOD! I think it is nice that she included this, also is cool for those who maybe wondered about her routines or what makeup tips she may have. I don’t think she is interested in a full on makeup or skin care book, but it was cool to include things to make yourself FEEL GOOD..from the inside out! So glad I did not listen to the negative reviews like I tend to do, because this book in my opinion is a great read and tons of recipes I cannot wait to try!! And I am not even really a Giada fan, it just popped up in my ‘recommended’ list, and boy am I glad that it did! A great read and I can’t wait to see what to make first!!!

Over the years, I have purchased nearly the entire collection of Giada books (for myself, as well as gifts for friends). But this book is one of my favorites because it features very excellent (and easy to prepare) “healthy” recipes. One of my favorite recipes here was the “grilled salmon and pineapple with avocado dressing.” It was easy to prepare and the unique combination of flavors made this one of my all-time favorites. The pineapple flavor blends in wonderfully with the grilled salmon. I also enjoyed the “salmon with lemons, capers, and rosemary.” This book demonstrates that “cooking healthy” can be fun and creative as it allows you to explore the many different possibilities of new ways to prepare healthy and very satisfying meals.

This is a beautiful cookbook. The recipes are just as described (light, healthy) and honestly I think with the exception of a handful I will try them all! Especially great options for lunches. Giada also includes glimpses into her routines and tips…just a page here and there (not over-done) so as to distract from what this is…a food recipe book. It has photo’s for just about all the recipes and they actually are the same. (I hate that…when you can clearly see the photo is not what the recipe says…) So if you appreciate and enjoy Giada’s cooking channel, personality and warmth- you will love this cookbook. It is one I will actually use and not just tuck on the shelf with my other ones. I recommend this highly!
LOVE the book and recipes but Kindle version is disappointing

I really love this cookbook but wish I had purchased it in hardback instead of Kindle. At least one other reviewer left negative comments about the Kindle version and I agree. Navigating doesn’t feel friendly and I just find myself feeling I wish I could have it in my hand. That said, this is the first time I tried Kindle for a cookbook, so perhaps this is the situation for cookbooks in general, not just this one. I think Kindle is great for literature (prose, poetry, etc, i.e., things to be read through), not cookbooks. The healthful recipes in this book are wonderful and I love Giada’s inspiring thoughts and discussions about healthy eating. I may ask Amazon if they would allow me to exchange it for Hardback version, though I don’t know if they grant returns or exchanges for Kindle.

I was able to flip through this cookbook at a bookstore and then came to Amazon to get it for a better price. Everything I have made so far has been delicious. The first thing I did with the book was basically read it cover to cover. There are sections in the book about her daily routine, exercise, diet, fitness, and beauty tips. This is a beautifully done cookbook with awesome recipes. While reading it through I tagged recipes I wanted to try. I might as well have tagged every page! Definitely a must if you like eating healthy and need new ideas. The chia seed pudding has become a breakfast staple in my house!

Recipes are great and the photography … which is throughout the book … is outstanding. I especially liked Giada’s comments about her life and family. My wife enjoy’s the beauty tips as well.

Giada’s most recent cookbook is may favorite. I really enjoy all of her books, but this one is really fun and the recipes are better than ever. Focused on a healthy lifestyle and ease of preparation, she guides you through her life – which I generally don’t like – but with her it doesn’t feel preach-y or pretentious. It’s so fun…the chia pudding is a favorite. But then there are about 8 that are favorites so far. You’ll love it.

I am a big Giada fan, since her recipes are always so delicious and easy to make. I love italian and I love here style of cooking. Even recipes I tried for the first time turned out without any mishaps. This new book offers a lot of no meat recipes which is a nice extra to previous books. The recipes have a nice twist and are a great alternative to the usually salads, soups etc. This is a great edition to my other Giada cookbooks. If you never tried any of her recipes, you are missing out on something. No matter which cookbook you buy, just follow the recipe and you will be amazed how good and easy food can be prepared….Love it

This is one book I will be opening a lot ,Giada stresses in her introduction that this is not a diet book but rather a balanced way of cooking and eating for a healthy lifestyle .She has a lot of great recipes in this book along with icons for each recipe such as V for vegetarian ,VG for vegan etc. Her recipes are very easy to follow they are very detailed from breakfast, lunch,and dinner and even healthy snacks. she also puts the special equipment you will need for example a smoothie you my need an vegetable juicer or a high powered blender etc .Also she tells some of her beauty secrets hair,nails and face .This book is very easy to follow and the recipes are very healthy.
