I love this cookbook. It is just my husband and me now as the kids are grown and out of the house. We have tried several recipes in this book and all have been delicious. Plus very little, if any, leftovers. I used to make such large quantities and then we would “eat on it” for days, and I would usually end up throwing it out. These recipes are easy, economical and delicious. Thank you for a cookbook like this.

Great meals with less leftovers.

My husband works nights so that leaves my daughter and I to eat meals together. I have to cook healthy meals for her since she is into athletics. It is hard to cook for two people without a lot of leftovers.

Amazing recipes and tons of helpful tips on cooking for two. This cookbook has it all, from ways to save time and money by planning your meals ahead. Never go to the grocery store without having your meal plan and shopping list with you organizing a weekly meal plan will save you money. I like how this cookbook explains the different ways to cook your meals and make them more healthy. 10 different ways from baking to stir frying each one is explained even Blanching which I had never heard of.

I got this cookbook because my boyfriend and I are trying to eat healthier and are running out of ideas.. baked chicken with veggies get old obviously haha! But, one thing I do not like is there are no pictures at all for any of the recipes. I like to be able to get an idea of what I am actually making.. so that’s a bummer. Another thing, I know I am not a health guru like some are but I try and this book was kind of hard to follow. I hadn’t heard of a lot of the ingredients so I had to google what they were to even understand what I was going to be trying to make. I do not live off fast food and I love cooking a lot so this was kind of a bummer! I don’t know, maybe I need to order “How to eat healthy for idiots” instead! If you don’t need pictures and you can decipher plants from sea food then maybe this is the cook book for you!

Worth the buy!!

So far I’ve loved almost everything I’ve cooked. I love how organized this book is and how helpful with suggested foods to pair it is. I also love that even though it’s “for 2” it makes larger portions so since we eat a lot, that’s nice. Or if we eat light it’s nice for lunch the next day!

Looking for healthy, declious and fast meals for two? This cookbook is what you need! Not only can you make meals without wasting all those leftover, but these meals are also healthy. The meals in this book are fast cooking meals that are offered. This book offers baking and blanching recipes, which are healthy as well as fast to prepare. There are a numerous amount of ways to cook in this cook that are just as fast to make as well. I enjoy that I can now prepare foods much faster, eat healthy and still enjoy the taste of the food. This book tells how to prepare your foods from start to finish. This includes also how to store the foods as well. Not only are their recipes, but it lets you know what spices and foods are best for a person and the best way to prepare each dish and why. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that wants to eat healthier and also looking for a faster way to prepare your meals. Healthy Cookbook for Two is an easy to read instruction manual for those looking to incorporate into their lives a more healthful approach to cooking. Not only are the portions truly meant for two, but it offers nutritional information, per serving, such as calories, fats, carbs and more at the end of the dish. Each recipe also has a guide to help the reader/cook quickly determine if a dish is gluten free, dairy free, able to be made ahead of time, and if it can be made in a single pot. I also like the beginning chapters that help the reader learn more than just healthy recipes. The author provides healthy alternatives to traditional cooking staples, as well as a breakdown of healthier cooking methods, and healthy staples to keep on hand. The recipes themselves are easy to follow, don’t require training as a chef to prepare, and won’t break the budge when it comes to buying ingredients. This book is an excellent choice for someone beginning his or her transition into healthier cooking.

My husband and I can never seem to cook enough for just the 2 of us, we always end up with TONS of leftovers, and then they go bad and we throw them away. I can’t stand to see money going into the trashcan like that. So this is a gem of a find for me. It has so many recipes to choose from, and it even suggest what to buy and have on hand to be able to make the recipes. I am very picky, so most recipes contain ingredients that I don’t eat, so I leave them out, or if large enough pick them out when I eat, I have done that all my life, I am a very picky eater. My husband enjoyed the recipes I have made so far, and no more food going from the fridge to the trash!!!
