A Good Start To Dinner…

As I mentioned in my review of Healthy Vegetarian Collection: More Than 100 Healthy Recipes for a Vegetarian Diet by Bindi Wetzel, I am looking at the idea of a vegetarian lifestyle. Her books allowed me to see the type of meals that I would be eating. This book is a great beginning for someone, like me, who is looking for some dinner recipes to try out.

I am a dedicated and lifelong meat eater, but I’ve been trying to compromise with my wife and balance my carnivore ways with some veggie meals. This has been a great book for me to start discovering some simple vegetarian recipes. I have no flair in the kitchen but I know I can follow a recipe and I’ve found the recipes in this book extremely easy to use. Thumbs up from me.

This book includes research and discussion about vegetarianism substitutes for dairy, natural sugars. It includes a good variety of simple recipes – my favorites include Vegetable Lasagna, Bean Burritos, and Cheesy, Cheesy Ziti. The only thing I wish it included was nutrition information for each recipe.

This cookbook is great if you’re newly vegetarian or just trying to incorporate some more vegetarian dishes into your routine. It is not that great for someone that has been cooking vegetarian for a while. There is nothing new or inventive in it. But it is great for starting out!
