I like this DVD because it’s a good introduction for people who have never meditated and for people who might not be the typical audience for such topics.

If this is a re-release of the DVD of the same title by Jack Kornfield with the cover that is half peach colored and half green colored, then it’s definitely worth purchasing (unless you already have the one I just mentioned). Jack Kornfield is an excellent teacher. He has a very calm voice and presence with gentle humor and wonderful comments and stories. This DVD (whether it’s new or the old one) would be an excellent introduction to meditation. Just be aware that it might be a re-release.

Funny but very informative. You can use the ideas right away. Very much for the hapless beginner. Encourages you and tells you what to expect and how to manage it. Excellent book.

As a teacher of Buddhism and meditation, I have been using this film in my classes on An Introduction to Buddhism for years, even when it was available only on a video cassette. It is the best introduction to meditation that is available and Jack Kornfield is the best teacher you could hope to have teaching this important tool for gaining enlightenment and getting rid of one’s suffering. If you want to learn how to meditate and why it’s good for you, get this DVD. You’ll be both happy to did, and if you practice Kornfield’s methods, you’ll benefit tremendously.

Well-reasoned and clearly written. Probably the best book on prayer I’ve read in quite some time, regardless of your faith tradition it is well worth a read

My psychiater sad I should buy it. To me it is a little bit boring. Always the same. It is better to go online and google Jack Kornfield. He explains everything there too. Or you can search for Meditation beginning.
