I usually frown upon diet cookbooks, or anything “diet” related, but as the first introduction pages explains, this isn’t exactly a diet book. Clean eating is a lifestyle, and though it’s best to stick to it, I’m sure eating this way a few times a week will GREATLY improve your health. I like the fact that you don’t need to count calories, or portion things out. It’s really easy to follow and I love the way everything is set up. The book has a shopping list, and meal plans for two weeks, and additional recipes. It also is very beginner friendly, and explains HOW TO cook. There are many charts and helpful little tips. I love the whole good-feeling, love-yourself overview of this cookbook.

I’m a huge fan of this book! Gives great background of what to eat, stay away from and breaks down the food categories in a simple way. There are some great recipes to try too. I actually bought it again for someone as a gift. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for direction on changing their eating habits to a clean and non-processed diet. I lost 12 pounds over a few months of following these principles along with exercise.

I keep hearing about clean eating and I was interested in finding out more about it. I came across this book and thought for the price it can’t hurt to check it out. I couldn’t have been more correct. This book has tons of information on clean eating. It explains what it is in detail, tells you how to get started and gives you some recipes to try.

This cookbook, “Clean Eating Cookbook” is a very refreshing change to the usual diet cookbooks or extreme excercise plans that seem impossible to complete. The information is clear and precise. This book allows you to make many healthym delicious choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack time. Living in Las Vegas, Nevada, allows me to have many fresh produce and fruits to choose from to cook for my family. The concept is written out well written out noting the positive attributes for healthy as well as delicious meals and snacks. The benefit to your health, physical appearance, as well as the skin and immune system are written out in simple terms. Easty to follow recipes and a two-week menu and shopping list set this book apart from traditional cookbooks. I liike that it outlines the benefits of items as simple different spices and combining ingredients to get the fullest benefit from the foods we prepare. The indepth description of the benefits of spices, allows a cook to create delicious foods without adding heavy gravies or sauces.

I was very impressed with this book. I’ve read many diet books and I can easily say that this one was the most thorough I’ve read to date. It’s packed with information and contains several useful lists and charts. It was also incredibly well written.

Only saw one questionable recipe, Turkey split pea soup, add the Turkey at the end and heat through, no where does it say to cook the Turkey first and this should be done to prevent any raw meat in the soup.

Honestly, I was looking for a few more recipes. The writer of this book goes in to great detail about ups and downs of sugar and binge eating, etc., but in all honesty I felt it was overkill and I was looking more for recipes which there are quite a few in the book. I mean it’s not the worst book out there and it’s certainly armed with an array of information.
