Honestly, I was looking for a few more recipes. The writer of this book goes in to great detail about ups and downs of sugar and binge eating, etc., but in all honesty I felt it was overkill and I was looking more for recipes which there are quite a few in the book. I mean it’s not the worst book out there and it’s certainly armed with an array of information.

Have you heard about clean eating? Wondered how to get started? This book will help. The Clean Eating Cookbook and Diet starts with a short but detailed history of clean eating and the principles behind it. Clean eating is consuming food in a form as close to natural as possible. There is a fourteen day eating plan that gives examples of how to structure your meals . It has extensive lists of proper foods and spices to use. Super food combinations that improve the nutritional benefits is a nice touch. The recipes makeup most of the book. I tried the Baked Apples and they were very tasty.

This cookbook has a lot of information in it. I like the fact that it explains the history of clean eating and gives you exact lists as to what foods you can and cannot eat. Clean eating is a complete lifestyle overhaul and this book is a great tool to help you navigate the changes that need to be made and explains why you need to make them. There is not only a list of clean foods, but daily menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well. This cookbook also provides realistic recipes that can be easily prepared at home. It also provides ways to stay on track such as keeping a food journal and bringing food with you so that you can stay on track.

At first, this book might not seem that different from other good healthful eating cookbooks. They all contain several of recipes with lean meats, whole grains, etc. They all contain great helpful hints to assist you through understanding how to work with healthy foods, how to make them interesting, etc. They all contain some nice photographs to make the food seem appealing.

Clean living cooking and eating makes good common sense for your health!

I read with interest the Clean Living Cookbook and Diet. I am always trying to eat healthier. It simply makes sense to follow the advice in this book and eat foods as close to the source as possible. It is the processing of the food and the additives that makes us unhealthy. That was a good tip to carry clean foods with you. It is easy to get tempted to eat unhealthy foods if that is the only thing available. Eating small meals more often is great advice. I appreciated the comprehensive power foods list as I am actively trying to eat more power foods. As far as foods to avoid—the only one that would be hard for me is pizza! I liked the food pairing section—it sounded very appetizing. I am going to try the tip of drinking hot water with lemon first thing in the morning to detoxify the liver. The 14 day meal eating plan and shopping list were very helpful. The flour substitution guide was very insightful—I have always wanted to know more about this. There is an amazing amount of recipes in this book to last you all year! I know they will be both delicious and beneficial to my health.

This is a great book packed with information on how to get into the Clean Eating lifestyle. It was great to read about all the benefits of clean eating and to have all the recipes in one book. I loved the shopping lists and meal plans, as well as all the information included in each recipe such as what season the recipe is best for, if it contains super foods, if it is low fat or budget friendly. Overall a great book promoting a way of eating that I could definitely get used to. Can’t wait to start throwing away my junk food and getting on the road to better health with the recipes and information in this book.

The fundamentals of clean eating, Do’s and Don’ts, and 105 very easy-to-follow recipes make this book an excellent guide. The organized chapters helped me find what I was looking for. Each recipe has an introduction containing special information about the benefits such as a super food. The recipes were all in capital letters which made them a bit hard to read. I printed out the food list in the Appendix so I could take it with me when I went shopping. The Glossary defined some terms that I did not understand before.
