Excellent recipes, No photos
Lots of terrific recipes for diabetics craving really tasty meals. No photos but recipes are well organized to make looking for favorites fairly easy. Highly recommended for diabetics who are desperate for delicious food and are willing to read and seek them out.
They are trying hard but still victims of hearsay.
Many interesting looking recipes. None of which I have yet tested. Lots of recipes with the NOT scientifically proven “low fat” and “low salt” attitude. Dietitians love to regurgitate “everyone knows” BS that has never been proven with scientific research. Hearsay! At least their questionable (lack of) truth will probably not hurt anyone too badly.
Can get most of recipes online – Not only for diabetics – great for anyone wanting to lose weight.

I am trying the recipes, both in real-time, and virtually visualizing. The recipes are indeed gourmet; the book is in better shape than promised, too. All in all a wonderful bargain!
Covers all I have been wanting
Good cookbook. Very thorough, easy to read, just right size book. I have been want in cookbook for diabetics and this one fills the bill.
Good for starters
I like this book but wanted more pictures. There are other better cookbooks out there for diabetics. This one is fine and the recipes are nice but I wanted more ethnic type recipes and wanted to veer away from traditional recipes.

Diabetic Gourmet Cookbook
Especially for those who thought their gourmet eating days were over. No, it’s not pate de fois gras, but you will be pleasantly surprised to find that all flavor and lusciousness is not lost to you forever.
I would recommend this to anyone who is diabetic. The book is easy to follow. I am still learning and this has been the best book I have seen.
I have done some of the baking, such as banana bread both kinds, and it was more delicious then expected. Hard to believe it was healthy for you. I am most pleased. I will try other receipes soon. Thank you Fatima
