Debra Webb’s “The Wedding” is truly an invitation to the wedding of the year in Birmingham, Alabama. Webb’s readers hope it is Dan and Jess’s wedding. Readers are kept guessing as it could be Lori and Chet or maybe another member of the team has popped the question It might be anyone of the SPU team and you will have to read Webb’s story to find out. The team is ready to celebrate and go to someone’s wedding. Debra takes readers to a girl conversation about a perfect rehearsal dinner. Readers sit on Jess’s shoulder as she shares her thoughts with her sisters, Lori and Sylvia about her plans. Readers see team members share thoughts, memories, or a surprise revelation. Debra describes Lori and Jess talking about the wedding jitters that go through the mind of the bride-to-be. Readers also get to see Dan share his thoughts with his father and they learn how his plans will affect his future. Dan is ready to move forward with his life with Jess at his side. Debra treats her readers to Dan’s parents feelings towards Jess as their future daughter-in-law and how they feel about the upcoming birth of their grandchild.

A don’t miss story.

I have followed Jess Harris and a Webb’s incredible series, a definite must read for everyone who loves great romantic suspense. But The Wedding is more than the frosting on the (wedding) cake. I read it while I was on my treadmill this morning and it’s really hard to keep running when you are bawling happy tears. What a wonderful wonderful, wonderful story. I loved it and I am very very picky about stories I say I love. But this one? It is so beautiful, so emotional, I wish I could give it m

A lovely addition/ending to the series

This novella topped off an incredible series with “whipped cream and a cherry.” I mean this in a complimentary way. The whole “A Faces of Evil” series dragged me away from family and duties many times — and I am not complaining. Every book was an adrenaline rush and full of unanticipated twists and turns. “The Wedding” is not one of those. No accelerated heart rate or chewing of nails in this short story, but a fully satisfying roundup of the cast of characters (not the evil ones) from the series.

Great book

We’ve waited so long for this wedding and it finally happened. It was sweet and to the point, the perfect way to move between novels and give us all a little taste of what’s to come. I do have to admit, I’m happy Dan and Jess found a way to include Buddy Corlew in the wedding party. He’s really my favorite (just don’t tell Dan I said that).

finally happened

To be honest ten novels was really too long, I was getting sick of the main characters Jess and Dan. Sylvia and Buddy Corlew on the other hand have plenty of potential for the sparks and I’m really looking forward to their story. Still it was a a sweet indulgent epilogue for those like me who enjoyed the Faces of Evil series.

Good short story.

As usual this author delivers a good book. She incorporated all the characters from the Faces of Evil series in a wedding book, good ending for the romantic side of it. Can’t wait for the next book, have already ordered it.
