Alex Tanner has a problem. The former Navy SEAL's search for a double agent lands him at the Kensington Hotel, and he needs a cover to finish the job. When the sexy maid of honor blackmails him into pretending to be her lover, he thinks he's been handed the solution.

Except Beth has a way of stumbling into trouble, and when the man Alex is hunting starts targeting Beth, Alex has to decide between solving the mystery or protecting the woman who has stolen his heart.

Part romantic comedy, part thriller, and filled with plenty of intrigue, The Wedding Trap is the first novel in the Second Service contemporary romance series.

Praise for The Wedding Trap

RomanceJunkiesReviews.com says:

THE WEDDING TRAP is a contemporary romance that has the bent of a romantic suspense with added spice thrown in. The book drew me in and I was immersed in the intrigue immediately…Kept me turning the pages.

This is the first book in the series and I look forward to reading the others and hopefully being reunited with some of the characters we met here. Bell is a new to me author and I will definitely be adding her to my TBR pile.

This was a very quick afternoon read. The book is short but is filled with a good story. The story is about a CIA agent who is undercover, when a woman runs into him. She then finds him breaking into a car and she bargains with him. Little do they both know what is in store for them. He ends up needing her more than he realizes. The story was interesting but very rushed. Even though the book was rushed, it almost felt a little long at times. I didn’t really get into this book like I was hoping I would. I was interested in seeing what happened with the main characters which is what kept me going. I would say it is still a good book to read if you need something to take up 2 hours.

Good read!

Beth is in her best friend’s wedding & she doesn’t have a date. What’s more, is that she’ll have to walk down the isle as maid of honor with her obnoxious ex-boyfriend. Good thing in instances like these, Beth has an invisible boyfriend she brings with. Its only day one at the lavish Lexington Inn and she’s already had enough of her mother and her ex. Heading outside for a breath of fresh air she may have found the real life version of her make-believe boyfriend. Now, if only she can pull it off in front of all her family & friends… And, what’s more, her date has an agenda of his own. Can Beth manage to make it through the weekend with her wit and sanity in tact?

I was pleasantly surprised to find another writer. I can add to my favorites along with fern michaels. Janet deleon bell does not disappoint the mystery the storyline kept you entertained could not put the book down until finished i recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery with hint of humour and a little romance she has her own style as do the other favorite authors of mine each one different in their own unique way looking forward to reading more stories from this author this story without giving it away is about a girl who unintentionally witnessed an international plot with a member of the family of her best friend during her friend wedding and an cia agent trying to protect her a must read with action humour and discovering yourself

After some of the books that I have been reading lately, I found the Wedding Trap to be a refreshing surprise. And it was FREE! First you have Beth who by no means was whipped with the ugly stick but she wasn’t perfect size 2, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has flaws. She is intelligent and has a witty sense of humor. Alex is a typical stoic Agency man. But we get to see the real man that is underneath that tough exterior. Ms. Bell is able to write in the chemistry and attraction without being overly graphic leaving the reader to make up their mind of what happens between the sheets. If I had to criticize anything it would be the book cover. Come on. Alex is an agency man. He is even describe with short cropped hair. Why put someone with long hair on the book cover.

A wedding day to remember!!

Fate has an interesting way with bringing two people together……and this story showed one of the MANY ways it happens! “Charlie” materialized into Beth’s life at just the right time to save her from embarrassment at her best friend’s wedding. Or….Maybe Beth showed up in Alex’s (“Charlie’s”) life just as HE needed HER!!!! The adventurous three days leading up to Isobel’s wedding are full of everything needed to guarantee a wedding ( or, “almost wedding) to be forever remembered!!!! Fun, exciting and passion filled… just the way to begin a long life together!

This is a fun, frothy, no-brainer of a romance between a bridesmaid and a CIA agent. Yeah, unlikely and caper-ish, but readable and perfect for those days when you want something a little distracting, but nothing so heavy that you have to actually do some thinking. “Comfort reading.”

This book was entertaining and overall a good read, however the book needs some editing. The book has some funny moments. I did not like how it ended though. I would have liked to seen something bad happen to Spencer LOL. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a light entertaining read that you can read in one setting. It does have several sex scenes, but overall it is a romance novel with some action in it!

Dull book

The plot is kind of dull and the grammar isn’t great. The romance between the characters happens over the weekend. There are several cheesy parts in this book that just don’t make much sense. Also, there are several grammatical errors in this book.
