With The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and his other beloved novels, #1 New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sparks has given voice to our deepest beliefs about the power of love. Now he brings us the long-awaited follow-up to The Notebook-a story of an ordinary man who goes to extraordinary lengths to win back the love of his life… After thirty years, Wilson Lewis is forced to face a painful truth: the romance has gone out of his marriage. His wife, Jane, has fallen out of love with him, and it is entirely his fault. Despite the shining example of his in-laws, Noah and Allie Calhoun, and their fifty-year love affair (originally recounted in The Notebook), Wilson himself is a man unable to express his true feelings. He has spent too little time at home and too much at the office, leaving the responsibility of raising their children to Jane. Now his daughter is about to marry, and his wife is thinking about leaving him. But if Wilson is sure of anything, it is this: His love for Jane has only grown over the years, and he will do everything he can to save their marriage. With the memories of Noah and Allie's inspiring life together as his guide, he vows to find a way to make his wife fall in love with him…all over again. In this powerfully moving tale of love lost, rediscovered, and renewed, Nicholas Sparks once again brings readers his unique insight into the only emotion that ultimately really matters.

Absolutely love this book! This is by far the most amazing book that he has written. I even made my husband read this book. It is so romantic! I read it three times.

It’s interesting to hear about a romance from a man’s point of view. And since the author is also a man I think what he describes is authentic. The main character who narrates the story is a rather quiet man who seems to think his wife should automatically know how much he loves her without him telling her so in words or actions. The story begins with his forgetting their wedding anniversary. She is crushed and he spends the next year trying to make it up to her

Nicholas Sparks has done it again. Every book that he has written that I have read is just wonderful. The wedding is about a couple that has been married 30 years. However, the husband and wife are drifting apart. They have adult children that have all started their own lives. When one announces she is going to get married the mother works with her to plan a beautiful wedding that she never had After a lot of soul searching the father seeks advice from his father-in-law who spends a lot of time feeding a swan who he thinks is his deceased wife. The father gets caught up in the plans for the wedding and finds a different approach to life is good. The ending is not what you expect at all.

Watching a family of today have a common goal and making changes as a unit.

Once again Nicholas Sparks takes us down a road of love lost and found again in middle age. How a husband when faced with the destruction of marriage, the main character sets out to bring romance back to the marriage. Men will enjoy watching another man bring romance back to the relationship. Women will love the thought of having a man who sees life’s evaluation through a woman’s eyes. Watch this family of generations work together to make a wonderful event come together.

Cheesy story, but very well written

Nicholas Sparks is a very talented writer. I’ll explain the positives and negatives of this book. Positives: very detailed and descriptive, able to paint visual pictures with dialogue very clearly, and it wasn’t predictable. Negatives: Cheesy story, this book doesn’t reflect the current reality of relationships prior to the 1950’s.

Nicholas Sparks always writes satisfying love stories. The story of The Wedding is sweet, complicated…but only in a good way. Lots of surprises and wonderful characters. Everyone involved has an interesting role to play, and you will definitely have a good taste in your mouth when you finish this one.

I loved this story told from a man’s heart. Refreshing. It gave the story more interest to what could have been dull. But like qlways Nicholas Sparks has a knack for storytelling like no other. A great read.

Not your everyday romance!

Written from the perspective of a man to whom romance is a foreign word, this book could be a primer on how to learn that language! Revisiting the family from The Notebook, we find Wilson and Jane foundering in their marriage with Wilson wanting to change that but not sure how.

Eye Opener

Wilson Lewis brings home certain truths is life, mainly that too often we put providing money for our wife and children over our presence and time. He forgets his twenty-ninth wedding anniversary and hurts his wife almost beyond repair. He spends a year trying to win back her love while he helps plan his daughter’s wedding. This book becomes a real eye opener.
