For thousands of years, the Chinese have used the principles of Feng Shui to enhance their lives. At last, these powerful techniques have been translated into this practical and thought-provoking book for people in the Western world.

In this comprehensive guide, acclaimed Feng Shui teacher Terah Kathryn Collins explains why the arrangement of your home and workplace affects every aspect of your life, including your relationships, your health, and your finances. This informative book takes you on a step-by-step, room-by-room journey through your home and office, opening your "Feng Shui eyes" to see the problems and the solutions in your environment.

Easy to read, this book is an excellent introduction to the principles of feng shui. Most certainly this book gives valid strategies to improve the energy flow in your environment. In other words, it is a good place to start. However, a caution is needed. This book would be more accurately titled, A Westernization of Feng Shui. Don’t be lured into thinking this book represents any bonafided Eastern tradition of feng shui. Anyone seriously interested in Feng Shui should go further into more traditional sources. Eva Wong’s book is highly recommended.

This book is a little disorganized, a little sloppily written… it’s got some interesting information, but it’s not my favorite resource for Feng Shui,

I’m just on chapter 4 but, I can tell that, so far, so very good…. 🙂 Feng Shui is a science (and an art) that has worked for thousands of years. So, why not give it a try ?

a bit too woo-wuu and dated

The diagrams are easy to follow, but for an edition that was “updated” recently, I felt like I was reading a 1970’s (especially the photos) flower child version of feng-shui and ritualistic fixes that simply brought more stuff into your home.

Great starter for a Feng Shui newb. Except for that one short bit about protecting your home and self from electronic waves the whole book is very interesting.
