Continuing with a deeper understanding of I am the field, And I'm also the knower of the field. The field is pure consciousness, infinite possibilities, infinite correlation, unpredictable, infinite creativity, self-regulation, self evolving and the source of attention and intention, the source of all the experience. But the field is modifying itself as modes of knowing and experience. And we discussed already the modes of knowing, witnessing awareness number one. And then we discussed that mode of knowing that we call the mind, the conditioning of pure consciousness into a species specific mind through which we know. Then the third mode of knowing we discussed already is the intellect, the pros and the cons. And now we come to the fourth mode of knowing and let's call that provisional identity or ego identity. OK. So let's today discuss this mode of knowing the ego identity.

In Sanskrit, these three modes of knowing are called manas, which means mind; buddhi which means intellect and ahamkara the provisional identity, the ego personality. OK. So what is this entity? First of all recognize that all these modes of knowing are actually also nonlocal activities that are processed outside of space and time. Why do we say that? Because consciousness itself is outside space time and it projects as the theater of spacetime and causality. But what we experience is influenced by mind, intellect and ego. And we'll see by the other modes of knowing as well. Buddhi is intellect. Manas man is mind. Ahamkara is ego, personality, individual identity, which is provisional. So how is identity created? This is very interesting phenomenon because whatever your identity is OK, it goes by a name, it's a name-form and identity go together.

Of course, the form is changing. The body-mind-form is changing. But that's your identity: mind, body, ego and what we call the personal body. But all of these are verbs, not nouns, they're not fixed Nor is your identity fixed. You know, it's like Shakespeare almost everywhere. He says this was a stage where every man or every human must play a play a part. And so it is the part we are playing as name and form. I would say your ego-identity is on Linkedin. It's your bio, it's your personal story.

But it's also things like things like your education, your economic background, your your ancestral background, your cultural background, your the history of your ancestors on and on. Very interesting. So your genes which created you as a biological phenomenon are actually all the evolution into human form, your genes. They are the record of biological evolution also, therefore, the record of experiences. Ok? Because every biological organism is a mode of knowing an experience. But then there's more than that, there's what we call epigenetic modulation of which genes get turned on and what get turned off. And so as I said, that also involves memory and memory is not in the brain but in the matrix of inter-beingness.

So as we look at what we call this individual identity, which is actually a download of social cultural historic, economic experiences, both genetic and epigenetic, both genetic and epigenetic. And so it's very interesting how this gets created. So here's a child that's born and a child already has a personality. OK. The child has a bit of a personality. Any mother will tell you that if she has even identical twins, they have different personalities. And according to the framework that we are discussing today, this this personality that you're born with is the record of the experiences of our ancestors, traumatic pleasurable everything. And of course, then continually modified by culture. So what you call, “me” is actually a confluence of the experiences, the meanings, the context, the relationships, the histories, the stories of your ancestors, of your current culture, your current circumstances and your current relationships, your personal story, but it's not really personal, you call it personal because you attach yourself to a cultural story which is very complicated in the matrix of relationships. So let's see, you have a newborn child now and the child has a personality already comes a little bit programmed by the experience…

Not a little, a lot programmed by the experiences of your ancestors, culture, religion, all of that. So there's a personality, even identical twins have different personalities, that is the ego-identity that you come with. But now it starts getting further conditioned, OK, by situations, circumstances, events of your family and your social interactions, your professional interactions, your economic status, et cetera. But let's say you have this baby and in today's world, the, the baby's personality is going to be shaped by other forces. Baby comes and you say, OK, your name is Mary.

Start off with that. You are a Catholic, this is your religion, this is your background, this is your culture, this is your language and on and on. Everything that that little baby with a name called Mary is told. And then that actually further modulates the conditioning of the consciousness to develop what we call a baby's personality and then a childhood personality. And that then of course, ultimately becomes what you call your identity. But see, it's all programmed and it's all programmed and there's nothing even though you think it's unique and it is in the way it expresses itself, but it's still something that is created it's not fundamental, it's a provisional identity. And it evolves. And today, of course, we have what we call digital babies, or digital natives who grew up in this area, digital.

And as they grow up a little bit and they're influenced by digital networks, you know, everything from TikTok to Instagram to whatever you call it. Telegram and you know, all these amazing networks that our children are now involved in. My grandchildren, et cetera Telegram. and many others. TikTok, Instagram are very influential these days and they're shaping the personality. So, is there anything real about that personality? No, it is just a localization… seeming localization of the ongoing conditioning of the mind. And remember the mind can't be localized. It's a process, it's both embodied and it's relational. So where is the mind? There's no location and yet it is now being shaped into a personality which we think is here and projecting as this body because that's the experience. But even that is coming from the matrix of interconnectedness, the matrix of inter-beingness. So here is the key. Once you recognize that your ego-identity is provisional, you can focus on the identity you want to create. And the identity you want to create is actually will reflect in your biology almost as a shapeshifter, you know.

The Growth and Influence of Online Gaming in Modern Culture

So how do you change your perception of the body into a field of awareness? How do you change the experience of time how to actually reinterpret even biological aging? These are all available to us. As long as we know that we are not our personality, we are the creators of our personality or ego identity. Now, when there's too much attachment to identity with the ego, then there's constriction, the body feels constricted. The sphincters are constricted. when there is awareness of the ego identity, but also that I am not that , I'm that which is conceiving, constructing, modulating and becoming that, then I can become anything. OK? And that I AM is formless, which is modulating itself as mind, intellect and ego. But it's all very provisional. Of course, if we have the same habits and the same traits day to day that creates neural networks that represent that. This is a process called synaptogenesis and neurogenesis. In other words, your neural networks represent almost as a hard wiring. Although it's not a hard wiring, it's very provisional. But that wiring is called long term and short term homo and hetero synaptic potentiation and inhibition depending on what you focus on as your personality traits.

In any case, if you're very attached to your identity as an ego, everything is tight. Let's call it resistance and when you observe it and let go, that's called flow. So always ask yourself, “Is my choice right now, creating resistance or flow?” If I'm totally goal oriented, totally goal oriented, then that will create resistance. On the other hand, if I'm process oriented, flow oriented, instead of a goal oriented, flow oriented, then I can actually carve out the personality I want. So from a biological standpoint, your brain is created by genes. And I've already mentioned genes are the memories and and experiences of our ancestors, let's call it karma. And then so it's created, the baby's biology is created by genes including the brain. And when you're born, you come, actually, with much more neurons than you have as you grew up. So the brain is created by genes, but it is sculpted by experience and the choices we make consciously and unconsciously.

It's like you know, the brain is like a big marble statue and then you chip away by selectively experiencing situations, circumstances, phenomena, relationships, meanings, contexts, you choose selectively, identify with them and then there's pruning of the brain sculpting of the brain. It's like David emerging from the marble as Michelangelo said, OK, so that's how we choose our, and sculpt our personality. As I said, the brain is created by genes and sculpted by experience. But what about genes? Genes are created by experiences, both ours and our ancestors. And then their activity is sculpted by the choices we make right now, epigenetic activity and identifying with certain memories and also identifying with desires, certain selective desires and images and feelings and emotions. All go to create the personality. But the goal here is to recognize that the personality is just another mode of knowing is very provisional. It's not absolute, the only absolute identity you have is infinite possibilities, infinite correlation, infinite creativity. And what we mentioned as pure awareness. Once you identify with your absolute identity, then you're free to create any provisional identity even biologically.

So we'll continue on this. I hope this is helpful..
